HV Project Manager

Sphere Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a South Wales-based High Voltage Electrical Contractor, experienced in providing engineering solutions on both construction and maintenance projects across the UK.



Based near Swansea they are now looking to add a Project Manager into their team.



Overview:



Plan, design review, organise, control and monitor all types of construction and maintenance work on HV/LV networks and associated plant and equipment, including more complex design review and approvals, planning commissioning and packaging fault diagnosis in accordance with safety and customer requirements, ensuring all works are completed to time and budget.



Key Accountabilities include:



Safety



Actively promote a positive safety culture, ensuring all Company and customer safety rules and procedures are observed by staff and contractors.



HV Project Design



Obtains Designs of complex HV network schemes, internally and externally, alterations and extensions to meet customer requirements in accordance with Company safety, design, budget and quality standards. Undertakes obtaining grading and protection studies as required for more complex scheme designs to meet project and Company standards.



Prepare Estimates



Prepare accurate estimates of net cost and material lists for HV works to enable Contracts Engineer/HV Director to develop commercial pricing.



HV Project Construction



Plan, organise and control complex HV construction projects to design specification, ensuring Company standards are maintained and customer requirements met per budget and programme. Organise and collate test certification on protection testing and commissioning as required to complete installations.



HV Maintenance



Plans, organise and undertake all types of maintenance on HV networks to meet customer requirements in accordance with Company safety and maintenance standards.



Network Repairs



Arrange all types of fault-finding including more complex diagnostics on customers’ networks to enable safe, cost-effective and efficient system restoration, meeting operating standards and fulfilling customer requirements in conjunction with Technicians and Engineers.



Resource Control



Plan, organise, and monitor the work of direct staff and contractors engaged on all types of construction, repair and maintenance projects to ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects to the required standards.



Project Delivery



Manages all types of design, construction and maintenance projects to ensure the provision of a safe, efficient and cost effective service to the customer.



Condition Assessments



Assess condition of privately owned plant and equipment, providing technical report and recommendations to owner in conjunction with Engineers and Technicians.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent



Pay: £60,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
