Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Controls Technician to step into a full-time HVAC&C Energy Technician role. This position focuses on identifying energy efficiency opportunities and improving building performance. You'll assess facilities, recommend best practices, and conduct energy audits to uncover inefficiencies in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. HYour work will also include training and mentoring client staff to adopt energy management best practices. You’ll collaborate with other SEG team members to deliver energy efficiency training programs.

 

Specific Activities

  • Review client facility operations and maintenance practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Identify energy-saving measures through operations and maintenance Best Practices, capital upgrades, and RCx projects.
  • Perform BAS screen reviews and analyze HVAC trend data to uncover hidden inefficiencies.
  • Support and consult with clients to implement identified energy-saving opportunities.
  • Conduct field performance measurements and collect data on process energy systems.
  • Facilitate training programs on energy management best practices.

 

Experience and Credentials Required

  • Two-year trade school degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in the commercial and industrial HVAC & Controls industry (CEM certification is a plus).
  • Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple building automation systems.
