This extraordinary sailing ship of the future, with its spectacular interiors, will set sail in 2026.Shipping HoldCoFor legal matters, the Orient Express Silenseas vessels will belong to the Shipping HoldCo Company, a subsidiary of Accor Luxury & Lifestyle, which owns and is responsible for the Silenseas vessel construction and operation.Job DescriptionThe HVAC Engineer duties will be to : Supervise all installations works and commissioning of equipment related to HVAC and refrigeration systems and equipment including, with specific knowledge of, but not limited to, ventilation, heating, dampers, pipework, automation, air handling units, fan coils, chillers and cold rooms together with their associated components, SRtP, insulation or any other system or equipment as mentioned in the relevant sections of the ships specification, ensuring that all aspects of these systems are inspected, verified and functionally tested to meet the requirements of the specification, defined design parameters and contractual requirements. Ensures that all the equipment and systems are safe to operate and installed with reasonable access for future maintenance and repair, and that the equipment and systems are installed according to the manufacturers recommended planned maintenance and installation procedures.Perform inspections and testing in accordance with the guidance specified in the relative Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and appropriate references, such as project specification(s), internal (work) instructions, industry standards, reporting formats. Acts proactively in enforcing that remarks, defects and other non-conformities, within related discipline, identified from past projects, or from a guarantee claim relevant to equipment, systems, installations and workmanship / quality are being addressed to the ship yard and followed through during the inspection or commissioning process. Ensure overall end to end compliance with project specification(s) and Accor requirements.To maintain accurate records of inspection and commissioning results and contribute to monthly construction status reports.To support the site management on the preparation of documents for the delivery process of the ships, and on the documents for the protocol of delivery.To perform ad hoc patrolling of construction areas to evaluate the overall installation standard and obtain information on products and materials used.To participate in his field for equipment Factory Acceptance Test.To Contribute to the specification for the future vessels.In charge of hvac dwg approval for future vessels.To establish a good working relationship with ship yard management, classification society and other regulatory bodies, and input where required to resolve issues.Will attend technical and progress meetings as indicated by the Senior Vice President Newbuilding or the Site Office Manager, and provision of expert insights and support where required.Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on agreed format(s) for the status of work and progress, ITP follow up and comment follow up.QualificationsTypical Background : 5 years of experience on a similar position.French (mother tongue) English: fluent (written, spoken).Additional Information
