HVAC Estimator

Job description My client, a leading privately owned D&C HVAC contractor, are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HVAC Estimator to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects across the industrial, commercial and datacentre markets & contributing to their successful delivery alongside an in-house engineering and project management team. Key Responsibilities: Analyse blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates. Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve any issues. Prepare detailed cost analysis and track actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and manage bids. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures. Review material and labour requirements to determine the most cost-effective options. Maintain detailed records of costs and other project-related information. Qualifications: Proven experience as an HVAC Estimator or similar role. Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Proficiency in estimation software such as SimPro, Bluebeam etc and Microsoft Office Suite. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
