Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing preventative care, maintenance, and light repairs for residential & commercial HVAC systems while providing excellent customer service. This position requires having a knowledge of and/or developing a working knowledge of a wide variety of residential & commercial HVAC equipment.

Key Tasks

• Priority One - Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment in a timely and high-quality manner.

• Repair or replace defective parts or components on HVAC equipment.

• Looks for ways to improve and enhance the customer comfort by offering products and services that will benefit the customer.

• Present yourself in a friendly and professional manner to earn new referrals and repeat business.

• Maintain a high-level of professional decorum when interacting with distributors, delivery drivers, builders, other sub-contractors, office personal, fellow employees and supervisors.

• Follow all guidelines for a safe & healthy work environment. Requires some bending, stooping, crawling, ladder work, and occasional lifting up to 50lbs.

• Maintain a clean, organized work site and a well-organized and inventoried vehicle.

• Maintain company vehicle (i.e., oil changes, tires, cleanliness, etc.), and ensure tools and equipment are secured in safe condition while traveling.

• Participate actively in all provided training and tutorials, participate in in-house meetings & trainings, and utilize learning opportunities as provided to acquire additional skills of value in the trade.

• Be accurate and timely with appointments, estimates, reports/summary of findings, and invoices.

• Perform other duties as assigned and as needed.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, *must be insurable

• Construction background a plus

• Previous residential service or HVAC installation experience is preferable

• Salary for this position $18 - $24 per hour, DOE

• Work vehicle assigned as training progresses
