McCrea Equipment Company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Start and Check Technician to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for those eager to develop hands-on HVAC skills while receiving training from industry experts. You'll play a key role in ensuring newly installed HVAC systems are fully operational, efficient, and ready for customers.

Duties:

• System Start-Up & Testing: Perform initial start-up of new HVAC systems, ensuring proper function and efficiency.
• Electrical & Wiring: Handle low-voltage wiring, wire fresh air controls, and install zone dampers.
• System Optimization: Conduct line set evacuation, charge heat pumps and air conditioners, and install thermostats and humidifiers.
• Quality & Safety: Ensure all work meets company and industry standards while maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of hand tools for HVAC tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successfully pass both drug screening and criminal background checks.

Required Licenses (or willingness to obtain with company support):

• CFC License
• Apprenticeship License (if applicable)
