Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to lead and oversee HVAC operations on commercial construction projects. The Superintendent will manage field teams, coordinate with project managers, and ensure that all HVAC installations meet quality, safety, and schedule requirements. This role is critical to maintaining project timelines and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all on-site HVAC installation activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, blueprints, and timelines.
  • Supervise and direct field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, including manpower and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety standards, and industry best practices.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and other trade superintendents to resolve conflicts and maintain workflow.
  • Review and approve daily work logs, reports, and documentation related to HVAC operations.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
  • Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and resolving complex HVAC challenges.
  • Train and mentor field staff to promote professional development and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of HVAC experience, with a strong background in commercial construction.
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role overseeing HVAC installations.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, controls, and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and tools.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and industry codes.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing HVAC installations in schools, hospitals, office buildings, or large commercial facilities.
  • Certifications in HVAC or related technical disciplines.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems and sustainable HVAC solutions.
