About the Position:
We are seeking a hybrid Account Manager/Account Coordinator to join our team. This role is critical for providing support to both the sales team and customers while managing the coordination of internal resources to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining active communication with sales representatives, customers, and various internal departments to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and assist with customer communications (calls and e-mails), ensuring timely responses within the business hour.
- Maintain active communication between internal departments, the sales team, and customers to ensure smooth completion of orders.
- Assist with new order entry by analyzing and obtaining information from customer orders, ensuring accuracy in data entry and order setup in company systems.
- Assign and schedule customer work orders to Field Engineers, balancing customer requested dates, available capacity, and minimizing non-productive time (e.g., travel).
- Coordinate resources for customer orders, including subcontractors, direct-ship vendors (such as batteries), and OEMs.
- Provide regular updates to customers and follow up on orders to ensure processing by specified dates.
- Work closely with procurement and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met, and identify alternatives when necessary.
- Support the sales team by preparing customer proposals and RFQs, liaising with the estimating group as needed.
- Assist with troubleshooting customer orders, account statuses, and resolving relevant issues.
- Monitor and review customer orders to verify validity, compliance with Terms and Conditions, and alignment with company policies.
- Help develop data and guides to assist the sales team in meeting targets.
- Provide exceptional post-sale support and maintain customer satisfaction through regular communication and updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree , or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Customer Service, Project Management, or Account Management role.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail and follow-up.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong customer .
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with NetSuite or similar systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
