Hydraulic Systems Engineer

Our client is seeking a Hydraulic Systems Engineer to work alongside the Lead Hydraulics Engineer. You will be instrumental in the design, validation and testing of hydraulic systems for a wide range of state of the art projects. These projects cater for varying industries with unique sets of requirements but always retain one common goal, to decarbonise the marine industry.\n\nResponsibilities will include\n\nCollaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for commercial, leisure and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry.\nDesign and specification of hydraulic systems from producing schematics to 3D modelling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.\nProduce documentation and calculations to support designs.\nModelling of hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for validation of systems.\nDevelop and test hydraulic systems.\nSupplier selection and management.\nCommissioning and technical support for vessels.\nProduce documentation and calculations to support designs.\n\nRequirements\n\nHigher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, control systems or related field.\nNFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (this could be provided for a suitable candidate).\nStrong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components.\nUnderstanding of Mechanical systems.\nExperience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.\nExperience in creation of hydraulic schematics.\n\nBonus Skills\n\nExperience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software.\nKnowledge of marine industry, classification societies and electrical systems or PLC systems.\nEPlan ECAD experience.\n\nBenefits\n\n25 days holiday\nCompany Pension\nPrivate Medical Insurance\nLife assurance\nElectric Car and pension salary sacrifice schemes\nCycle to work scheme\nSocial events throughout the year\nWork in one of Portsmouth’s best offices.\nEnjoy a flexible working day which can allow for midday sport/fitness activities.\nOpportunities for professional growth and advancement
