Growing togetherAs part of our OptumRx team, in this role you will play a significant part in supporting the IBMi infrastructure for RxClaims. This position will provide technical expertise for the storage infrastructure supporting RxClaim. The team is responsible for 24x7x support all IBMi storage and data protection infrastructure. This position will provide input to the Principle IO Engineer responsible for storage supporting IBMi. This position will assist in developing long range Storage and Data Protection plans supporting RxClaim running on IBMi. The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do soRequired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience5+ years experience in design and architecture solutionsSolid IBMi Archicture understanding demonstrated by: Knowledge of IBMs support processes and structureExpertise and experience implementing PowerHA in customer environmentsKnowledge of IBM DB2MirrorDriving evaluation and testing of new technologies, products, and platformDevelop and implement proactive performance analyses, problem detection and resolution and systems monitoringManage multiple frame / multiple lpar IBMi environmentDesire to expand into a storage roleOr Solid DS8K storage experience demonstrated by: 8+ years experience with storage solutions for IBMiAutomation of storage commands including DS DSCLI scriptingKnowledge of NPIV and storage virtualization topologiesArchitect and engineer enterprise class storage solutions based upon business requirementsKnowledge of Storage Area Networks (SAN) and connectivity requirements - Brocade knowledge a plusResearch and develop designs, including strategic road-map for Storage infrastructure devices, associated software and tools, ensuring enterprise-wide architecture consistency and reliabilityDriving evaluation and testing of new technologies, products, and platformDeep understanding of storage technologies, including replication and copy utilities Solid communication and personal interaction skillsThe position requires exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, and the individual must possess a structured, methodical approach to systems administrationExposure to IBM Flash systems and / or DS8KExposure to DB2Mirror Preferred Qualification: Exposure to BRMS and tape device knowledge At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
