DS Containers looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to work 2nd OR 3rd shift in our Batavia manufacturing facility.
Hours: 5 days, 8 hours, including either Saturday or Sunday, 2pm-10pm or 10pm-6am. It switches every week. We are willing to pay for the right candidate!
Industrial Electrician Requirements:
- Industrial Electrician, in a manufacturing setting with 3 to 5 years’ experience
- Experience with running and bending conduit (EMT and Rigid, up to 1”)
- Experience with safety PPE, arc flash, lockout / tagout.
- Experience with 480VAC Bus plugs and Busway systems.
- Familiarity with Ethernet and DeviceNet protocol for machine device communication (PLC to drives, HMI, Remote I/O…)
- Must have own basic tool set (multimeter, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire strippers, pliers, cutters, etc.)
- Must be able to read industrial electrical schematics for diagnosing machine issues and panel wiring as well.
- Must be able to understand and use all functions of basic electrical multimeters.
- Experience with using an analog or digital megohmmeter for testing motor insulation.
- Experience with using scissor lifts and/or boom lifts.
- Experience with installing VFD’s and setting parameters referencing an existing system.
- Experience with HMI’s (knowledge of Rockwell Automation software, FactoryTalk View Studio, is )
- Must have experience with installing 24VDC sensors, such as proximity, photo-electric, limit switches, and other instruments, including pressure/vacuum transducers.
- Must have the ability to work with 3 phase motors, inverter and servo drives. AC and DC control circuit trouble shooting ability.
- Mainly work on electrical problems, but also willing to work with mechanical personnel to solve problems together.
- A good understanding of PLC’s, preferably Allen-Bradley and Omron. Ability to get connected to the PLC and trouble shoot the logic.
- PLC programming abilities would be a plus.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Complex problem solving is needed.
- Must work well in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Work on installation projects as well as production support and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to work 2nd OR 3rd shift.
