ABOUT THE ROLE
The Electrical Technician will be primarily responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical systems for all plant equipment and facility support processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, including working with PLCs, motors, and three-phase power systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform all duties safely, adhering to all safety guidelines, and actively participating in plant safety programs.

Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs while ensuring compliance with codes.

Assist in the design and installation of electrical systems throughout the facility.

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of injection molding machines.

Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices (e.g., ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes) to ensure system safety and compatibility.

Diagnose and repair electrical components of all facility equipment.

Repair or replace auxiliary plant equipment as needed.

Utilize fall-arrest systems for work performed at heights greater than 4 feet.

Organize workload to maximize efficiency.

Train and direct workers in the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.

Collaborate with production teams to maximize throughput.

Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Provide preliminary sketches or cost estimates for electrical materials or services.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Experience

Hands-on experience with PLCs, analog, and digital programming.

Proficiency in working with three-phase power systems.

Strong knowledge of motors, breakers, starters, relays, and related components.

Ability to read and interpret technical, electrical, and hydraulic blueprints.

Good mechanical aptitude and strong analytical skills.

Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED required.

Completion of a 2-year technical school program or relevant certifications .
Training & Skills

Ability to troubleshoot and determine causes of operating errors.

Ability to repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical failures in machinery.
