JOB SUMMARY
This position assumes responsibility for a major phase of industrial engineering work including method analysis, material flow, machine loading, capacity studies, etc.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Formulates designs and adapts industrial engineering functions for computer applications.
- Makes evaluations of results achieved in the performance toward objectives and makes recommendations to gain maximum benefits.
- Develops and establishes training curves for various occupational groups.
- Works closely with manufacturing management to develop systems, procedures, and techniques to reduce maintenance costs and improve production output.
- Identifies manufacturing problem areas, assesses present status and devises programs to make improvements.
- Defines and constructs reference unit data to be used in machine loading, plant loading, labor planning and capacity analysis.
- Develops and maintains current manufacturing capability records of all facilities and distributes to other departments requiring this information to dispatch their duties, e.g., Sales, Engineering, and Production Control etc.
- Works closely with Design Engineering in material analysis to obtain economical application.

- Strong analytical skills and financial understanding
- A comprehensive knowledge of systems and production.
- Individual is to assume primary industrial engineering responsibility for assigned work areas.
- Responsible for achievement of own specified goals.
- Requires minimal direction in planning and implementing assigned projects and to have the comprehension, resourcefulness, and good judgment required to implement projects in a timely fashion.
- Technical abilities to handle the wide range of industrial engineering responsibilities.
- Work assignments will be rather general in scope and content with the Industrial Engineer expected to develop plans and programs to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Will have daily contacts with line supervision, Manufacturing Engineers and production.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations management, business, or other related field.

- Experience working in manufacturing production environment
