Immediate Opportunity in Chino, CA for a Temp to Hire Industrial Maintenance Technician

Required schedule: 11:00 pm 7:00 am.
Responsible for performing set-ups and making advanced adjustments to paper manufacturing machines and auxiliary equipment. Initiates Pilot Orders as directed and ensures thorough documentation of each run is completed by established procedures.

Duties

• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging machines.
• Read and understand work directions.
• Perform set-ups and tear-downs, diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines/equipment.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties.
• Must be able to listen and follow directions.

Skills

• Ability to apply various principles and practices in a variety of skilled-trade areas (e.g., plumbing, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Knowledge of GMPs, lockout/ tag out, conveyors, mixers, gearboxes, control panels, etc.
• Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to effectively use hand tools for assembly tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in the workplace.
