We are looking for Industrial Machine Mechanics on 3rd Shift for our manufacturing plant in Cincinnati, OH.

Mechanic I Basic Function:

Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs to minimize machine downtime.

Mechanic II Basic Function: Under the direction and supervision of the team lead/master mechanic, runs assigned machines to produce daily production quotas. Runs more machines, more consistently, than a Mechanic I position. Troubleshoots and makes minor repairs with limited supervision to minimize machine downtime.

Shift/Schedule: 40 hours per week (+OT when available).
3rd Shift: Monday - Friday; 12am - 8am

Pay:

Pay range starts at $19/hour for Mechanic I.

3rd Shift receives an additional $1.50/HR shift differential.

Industrial Machine Mechanic Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper settings for machines.
• Troubleshoot machines to identify the cause of defects in the product.
• Make minor adjustments or repairs to auto-pack units.
• Perform established duties to machines in the assigned area to maintain production, scrap rates, and product quality.
• Consistently run standard production on 1 -2 machines, depending on the assigned area.
• Clean machines with shop rags & scrapers.
• Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Mechanic II Additional Primary Responsibilities:
  • Nails and Staples Department Only: Consistently run standard production on 3-4 machines, depending on the assigned area.
  • Wire Draw Department Only: Consistently run standard in all three sections, a 2:1 ratio as required.

Industrial Mechanic Qualifications:

• A high school diploma/ GED is but not required.
• Must be willing to work well with others.
• Preferably has 1-3 years (Mechanic II, 1-5 years) of a mechanical background.
• Preferably has a working knowledge of micrometers and calipers.
• Can accurately and efficiently record daily production numbers.
• Mechanic II Additional Qualifications:
  • Has six months or more of Mechanic I experience; outside experience will be accepted but is not preferable.
  • Experience with 1-2 Senco machines is but not required.

Industrial Mechanic Requirements:

• 100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment.
• Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.
• Must be able to read and write proficiently.
• Must be able to obtain a material handling vehicle license.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
• 100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds.
• Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.
• 100% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
