About the Opportunity Participates in activities related to the maintenance and operation of the physical plant and associated services within the facility by performing duties including, but not limited to: The Industrial Mechanic/Millwright, using established safe working practices, is responsible for the repair, preventive maintenance, sourcing of spare parts for ordering and new installation of major components of all mechanical systems. These systems may include: medical air systems, medical vacuum systems, control and service air compressors, boiler systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, reverse osmosis systems, domestic hot and cold water circulation systems, building heating and cooling circulation systems, etc. As a member of the maintenance team be able to perform all aspects of building maintenance that may include but not limited to: Plumbing, carpentry, maintaining the grounds, painting and minor electrical. participating in a preventative maintenance program; (Megamation software). keeping the Assistant Manager informed of department activities, needs and problems, fixing problems themselves as efficiently and effectively as possible. requisitioning and replenishing supplies; keeping equipment clean and in good working order; reporting any malfunctioning equipment; carrying out maintenance tasks related to all welding, sheet metal and air balancing, as well as related general repairs to same; maintaining quality standards of workmanship on all projects; assisting fellow maintenance workers as is possible and appropriate; Able to work with minimum supervision, be part of a rotational on-call schedule and work in a team environment About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Journeyperson Certification (Red Seal) is required. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Industrial Mechanic or Millwright. Ability to withstand the physical nature of the job, including standing, bending, kneeling, climbing involving heights, and the lifting and moving of heavy and awkward objects. Ability to operate various motor vehicles, machinery, tools and equipment related to the work environment. Must have access to reliable transportation. Travel between other sites may be required. Hours Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly Compensation and Benefits $27.44 - $32.65 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. This position is currently eligible for a Market Adjustment of approximately $170.62 biweekly.
