An Information Systems Business Systems Analyst II in Nashville, Tennessee, plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. This position involves understanding and translating customer requirements into technical specifications to ensure that proposed solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Elicit, document, and validate user requirements to meet specific business objectives, organizing this information into comprehensible documents for both customers and Information Systems teams.
  • Solution Development Guidance: Collaborate with technical and customer departments to develop systems supporting business solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Knowledge Transfer Facilitation: Facilitate the transfer of knowledge regarding business unit directions to supporting teams, ensuring a cohesive understanding across departments.
  • Deployment Accuracy Assurance: Review problem logs, assist with test plans and matrices, and engage in other analytical activities to ensure accurate solution deployment.
  • Business Direction Input: Provide insights on business directions for system changes and validate the necessity for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
  • Training Material Development: Assist in creating and documenting training materials, mentoring, or training less experienced staff as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; alternatively, an Associate's degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience, or 4 years of job-related work experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years in IT business analysis.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated understanding of business unit concepts, standard industry practices, and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Visio, MS Project, and data mining tools like DB2 and SQL is .
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences across all management levels.
  • Analytical and Conceptual Skills: Strong analytical abilities and conceptual understanding, capable of reading and commenting on test plans, project plans, and design documents.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: SAFe Scaled Agile Certification, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA.
  • Healthcare Experience: Direct experience in Healthcare, Medicare/Medicaid in a related Business Systems Analyst role.

Work Environment:

The role is situated in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, often working against mandated deadlines. The ability to balance multiple high-priority tasks and delegate appropriately is essential. The environment may require action and response 24x7 to support the technical business needs of the customer
