Overview:

We are seeking an Infrastructure and Systems Technician to join our team. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining wiring, IT infrastructure, and related systems. The position combines technical expertise with hands-on work, including structured cabling, equipment mounting, and configuring telecommunication and security systems. Primary Responsibilities:

• Terminate and test Cat6, coax, and other types of wiring in both new and existing buildings.
• Mount and install TVs, monitors, and keyboard systems, ensuring all equipment is secure and properly aligned.
• Set up server racks and ensure network and telecommunications infrastructure operates efficiently.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and wiring issues both on-site and remotely.
• Train customers on system usage and provide ongoing support as needed.
• Perform on-site and remote service calls to resolve technical issues.

Additional Duties and Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Configure PBX phone systems, including user setup, SIP trunks, and call routing.
• Set up and configure network equipment, including segmentation and system optimization.
• Install and configure alarm systems, access control devices, and surveillance cameras.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and create training materials when required.
• Perform routine maintenance on assigned company vehicles and ensure tools and supplies are stocked.
• Accurately log hours, expenses, and project updates in the ticketing system.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems or tools like ConnectWise is a plus.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of basic networking concepts such as network segmentation and system connectivity.
• Proficiency in structured cabling, troubleshooting, and the use of tools for wiring and testing.
• Skilled in the use of power tools for mounting and installation tasks.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and collaborating with team members.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to challenges and work independently.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in structured cabling, IT infrastructure, or security systems installation.

Work Environment:

• Work is conducted at construction sites, customer locations, and occasionally in office or warehouse settings.
• Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional overtime based on project needs.

Physical Requirements:

• The role requires standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, and using power tools.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds is expected, with occasional tasks requiring up to 100 pounds.
• Precision tasks, such as drilling and securely mounting equipment on walls or ceilings, are routine responsibilities.
