Job Title: Infrastructure Server Engineer - CONSULTANT

Department: Information Technology/Security

Reports to: CISO

US BASED, NO SPONSORSHIP

Downtown NASHVILLE BASED!

About the Role:

We seek a highly motivated and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our core IT services, supporting our organization's growth and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Management:
    • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune.
    • Implement and manage security policies, including Conditional Access, MFA, and data loss prevention (DLP).
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft 365 services.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 configurations and procedures.
    • Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions.
    • Implement and manage SharePoint online sites and document libraries.
  • Azure Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, deploy, and manage Azure virtual machines, networks, storage, and other cloud resources.
    • Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, including network security groups, Azure Security Center, and Azure Active Directory.
    • Monitor Azure infrastructure performance and identify areas for optimization.
    • Automate infrastructure deployments and management tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools.
    • Manage Azure Active Directory, including user provisioning, group management, and federation.
    • Implement and maintain Azure backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • General Infrastructure Responsibilities:
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems.
    • Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and support new technologies.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft 365 and Azure technologies and best practices.
    • Document infrastructure configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Participate in infrastructure-related projects.
    • Provide assistance around complex support issues - helping to identify root-case and/or remediate as needed.
    • Provides Windows Domain Services expertise such as GPO, DNS, Certificate Authority, Replication device endpoint management
    • Provides Tier 3 support for all assigned support desk incident requests following the ITIL framework for service management.
    • Maintain Windows-based or Linux based operating systems to include performing a variety of assignments associated with installation, configuring, managing, monitoring and controlling Windows operating systems.
    • Design, Configure and maintain SAN and disk configuration and troubleshooting, capacity management and system tuning.
    • Analyzing system faults, troubleshooting incidents, and conducting series of diagnostic tests on both operating systems and hardware to detect and resolve problems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365 and Azure.

    Proven experience in administering and managing Microsoft 365 services.

  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure CLI.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory and management.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and security principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are highly desirable.

    Skills:

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or ARM templates.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
