Job Summary:

The Process Technician/Jr Process Engineer will support the design, development, and optimization of plastic parts, components, and injection-molding processes. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role involves assisting in creating manufacturing specifications, supporting process improvements, and ensuring high-quality production.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

· Assist in the design and improvement of plastic parts and injection-molded components, including assemblies and insert-molded parts.

· Support the optimization of injection-molding processes, ensuring production meets quality and efficiency standards.

· Conduct basic mold flow analyses and assist in evaluating design feasibility and process reliability.

· Collaborate with senior engineers to develop molding specifications, parameters, and control plans for efficient production.

· Aid in the creation of 3D mold designs using CAD software and prepare technical documentation as required.

· Contribute to troubleshooting production issues by analyzing tooling performance and process data.

· Work with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to address technical challenges and ensure adherence to design requirements.

· Participate in validation and verification activities for new molds and processes.

· Stay informed about advancements in injection-molding technologies and apply new knowledge to support process improvements.

· Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards throughout production activities.

 

Qualifications:

Position: Process Technician – Plastic Part Design & Injection Molding

Key Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years of experience as a process technician.

Process engineering experience is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Basic proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Familiarity with mold flow analysis tools.

Process Knowledge:

A solid understanding of injection-molding processes, equipment, and tooling fundamentals.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset to tackle technical challenges effectively.

Collaboration & Communication:

Strong communication skills for teamwork and effective collaboration.

Adaptability & Learning:

A keen eagerness to learn and stay current with industry developments and evolving technologies.

Shift & Coverage Requirements:

Shift Timing: Split shift between 11:45am and 8:15pm.

Availability to cover 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift hours for vacation or other coverage needs.
