NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Project Installation Engineering Manager on behalf of a turnkey marine coordinator to work on a seawater desalination plant project in Saudi Arabia.
The scope of the Project will be the installation of the 2 water pipes, water intake and discharge and encompasses the installation of 2 seawater intake structures, one HDPE diffuser, the recovery of 3 MTBM offshore and dredging in coral limestone.
We will look for maritime profiles / coastal works since the scope takes place in a bay and will be connected to the land, it is at a depth of 26 meters, so profiles that have experience on similar projects will be favoured.
The role will initially be based in Cassis, France for a period of 4 months (full-time) before moving out to the site in Saudi Arabia for a period of 14 months. This will be on a 6/3 (weeks) rotational basis.
Role Responsibilities
- Supervise installation method team (Typically the team will be composed of two method engineer assigned to each Dredging & installation packages, draftsmen and analyst
- Define the list of installation engineering deliverables and evaluate the corresponding manhours
- Identity the required amount of qualified and experienced resources to be allocated within their area for the execution of the detailed engineering tasks
- Develop the detailed overall engineering schedule within the framework of the general
- schedule, control its progress and regularly report on it to the Project Engineering Manager
- Follow-up the development of the installation engineering deliverables and duly draw up the suggestions linked to installation of the works, as well as to fabrication and mechanical completion
- Organize and lead the installation / construction review meetings for installation engineering
- Supervise and control update of all installation engineering document
- Establish installation procedure with due knowledge of industry standard and Company specification and requirement, in agreement with the Project Engineering Manager and the Construction Manager
- Supervise, validate and approve calculation sheets specific to installation engineering issued by the task force
- Define the installation procedure in accordance with the Construction Manager requirement
- Verify that installation procedures are neither dangerous, nor likely to endanger the health and safety of the personnel or the environment
- Implement Quality Assurance principles and provisions and, in particular, check on the quality assurance of all documents issued under his responsibility
- Assist the Sites Managers on their requests and monitor the correct application of installation procedures
Role Requirements
- Engineering degree
- 5-7 experience in similar position
- Experience in the following;
- Heavy load
- Offshore and subsea lift
- Dredging projects
- Operations with work barge nearshore
- Connection spool pieces installation
