Installer/Fabricator/Welder - Field Installation

We are a Detention Contractor specializing in prison construction seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator/Installer to join our Field Installation team! Our crews are responsible for installing detention-grade equipment in both active detention centers and new construction projects.

✅ MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
WE DO NOT PERFORM STRUCTURAL STEEL WORK

Responsibilities:

• Demolition of Existing Equipment:

  • Use cutting torches, grinders, and cut-off wheels to remove old equipment.

  • Safely transport removed materials out of the building.

• Installation of Detention-Grade Metal Products:

  • Move and stage materials inside secure facilities.

  • Stick weld carbon steel & 304 stainless steel (14 Ga, 12 Ga, 3/16", and 1/4").

  • Clean welds using hand grinders.

• Install & Repair Security Equipment & Components:

  • Detention-grade doors, glass, hardware, and furniture.

  • Other specialty security equipment per project specifications.

• Blueprint Reading & Field Modifications:

  • Follow engineering blueprints for accurate installations.

  • Make adjustments on-site as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience in welding, metal fabrication, or related trades.

• Proficiency with stick welding (SMAW) on carbon steel and stainless steel.

• Skilled with hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints & schematics.

• Physically capable of manual labor, including heavy lifting and working in active detention facilities.
