Instrument Control Technician Trainee

Position Summary: The role requires a detailed understanding and practical experience of Instrumentation and Control maintenance activities related to modern combined cycle gas turbine plant, desalination plant and a wide range of auxiliary plant equipment. The Job Holder will work closely with other Instrument Technicians to ensure Plant Routines are carried out efficiently and to high quality standards; Technical Responsible to ensure compliance of IMS. Practical experience of maintaining instrumentation and control equipment gained through hands on experience and formal training. Calibration of field instruments, analyzers, chromatographs and control valves; with expertise in handling I&C test equipment Organizing spares, tools and equipment to carry out maintenance activities Carry out maintenance activities on a range of major instruments and control systems in accordance with OEM Manuals for the equipment. Performs troubleshooting activities as necessary to determine failure conditions and rectifies the defects found. Works with Plant Operations Personnel for resolving problems encountered with control equipment under the guidance of the I&C Foreman/Engineer. Ability to carry out duties with minimum supervision Practical knowledge of plant isolations from system Knowledge of health & safety and safe working practices Ensures a safe working environment for himself and his colleagues while working on any equipment Computer literacy Good command of English Language
