Ergon Resinall Corp in Hattiesburg, MS currently has an opening for an Instrument/Electrical Technician I.

The Instrument/Electrical Technician provides support to the Maintenance Department for the repair, installation, and calibration of instrumentation and electrical equipment and for other activities.
Instrument / Electrical Technician I Responsibilities:
- Keep safe work habits as the highest priority at all times
- Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace at all times
- Strive to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and associates
- Assist in repair and maintenance of steam systems
- Assist in installation of conduit and wiring
- Assist in installation and maintenance of instrument tubing
- Assist in troubleshooting and repair of control valves, regulators, heater control panels, motor controls, transmitters and other IE related equipment
- Assist in the wiring of electric motors and other IE related equipment
- Assist with implementation, programming and maintenance of microprocessor controllers, programmable logic controllers and combustion controllers
- Complete preventive work orders on IE related equipment and properly document all service and repairs while striving to continually improve the preventive maintenance program
- Use an IR camera to inspect wiring connections
- Use digital multimeter to check AC voltage, DC voltage, AC current, DC current and resistance.
- Assist with testing/repairing/removing/installing DP cells
- Provide assistance for various tasks throughout the plant as needed an directed by the Maintenance Manager
- Available for call-out when assistance is needed
- Complete CMMS work orders accurately
Instrument / Electrical Technician Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must have an >80 % average score on the Work Keys evaluation.
- Must have successfully completed and passed a Functional Job Capacity Evaluation(FCE)
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs is beneficial
- Valid driver's license must be maintained
- Strong communication skills required
- Computer proficiency
