INSTRUMENT SUPERVISOR

Assist the Head and Senior Instrument Engineer in implementing project plans, schedules and supervise and coordinate the project execution in efficient and effective manner, execute project within the approved budgetary limits and monitor the actual expenditure against budgets.

In case of equipment/material requirement which are under the non-budgeted category; assist the Head to prepare additional budget proposal for approval.

Provide effective leadership to building the Project team setting individual objectives, managing performance and motivating Staff in order to maximize departmental performance,

Follow relevant project procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.,

Assist the development, implementation and regular review of policies, procedures and systems related “PI-PS Projects” to ensure consistent & systematic application of best practices and to improve operational performance,

Communicate the approved polices & procedures and instructions to staffs and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a systematic and controlled manner,

Monitor the quality of material, equipment and technical skills deployed in Project services provided by external contractors to ensure reliability, integrity and phased acceptance of their work in line with relevant quality standards,

Conduct regular project review meetings with Contractors to discuss and resolve any technical issues as and when required to ensure completion of all contracts in a safe and professional manner,

Continuously monitor and review the project schedules to ensure project activities are implemented in a cost effective and timely manner,

Identify material/equipment required for the project, notify urgent and emergency situations and coordinate transportation of the same to facilitate timely availability of resources,

Plan tasks in coordination with the PI-PS team, analyse activity priorities, and guarantee timely completion while adhering to established procedures and standards.

Analyze / carry out risk assessments of all work orders and prepare Permit to Work (PTW) in order to ensure effective risk mitigation and completion of tasks as per company’s–Quality/HSE procedures.

Monitor and review the progress of construction-related activities, including but not limited to schedules, daily/weekly/monthly plans, and coordinate with contractor personnel and relevant authorities.

Provide support and guidance to ensure proper project execution in compliance with established procedures, specifications, and the allocated budget.

Supervision and involvement in testing and inspection activities such as calibration, installation, inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, trip logic tests, functional tests, MC walkdowns, RFC, PSSR, start-up, and commissioning. Carry out field testing and commissioning work.

Conduct Inspections.

Conduct regular project review meetings with Contractors to discuss and resolve any technical issues as and when required to ensure completion of contracts in a safe and professional manner.

Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring construction/installation work while resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and problem may arise. Flexibility to work and coordinate multiple jobs assigned.

  • Ability to understand project objectives and execute job requirements satisfactorily.,

  • Hands-on experience with Permit to Work (PTW) procedures.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and signing off test packs prepared by EPC contractors,
  • Ability to review, comment, and approve construction documents at the site level

Experience in calibration, installation, inspection, FAT, SAT, loop check, Trip Logic Test, Functional Test, MC walkdown, RFC and PSSR start-up, and commissioning activities live plant modification experience
