Instrumentation and Control Engineer

JOB – C&I Design Engineer LOCATION – Northampton TERM - Permanent SALARY – Competitive depending on skillset A Northampton based Engineering company are currently looking for a C&I Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The C&I Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: NVQ or equivalent electrical engineering qualification or relevant discipline. Previous experience designing & developing systems. Good knowledge of electrical design packages such as AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks Electrical or Eplan. PLC programming experience & good software understanding. Knowledge of ProfiNET, EtherNet, Modbus etc. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Full UK driving license. The duties & responsibilities will include: Full life cycle development of control systems from design through to commissioning. Testing & fault finding. Producing design specifications & ensuring designs meet requirements. Providing commissioning support. Ensuring health & safety requirements are met at all times.
