Responsibilities and Duties:
- Review project engineering and sales packages to determine equipment scope.
- Advise and support Project Engineers in selecting and sourcing instrumentation components for control systems.
- Design and generate electrical drawing packages, including P&IDs, Wiring Diagrams, and Interconnect Diagrams.
- Develop logic-based documentation such as Cause & Effect diagrams and I/O lists.
- Design, write, install, and test control logic for PLC-based systems.
- Conduct functional tests and inspections on various instrumentation components.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on control systems and combustion equipment packages.
- Collaborate with customers and third-party inspectors during FAT.
- Compile project close-out documentation package.
- Support Senior Controls Engineer in assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Instrumentation Technology or Engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience with PLC-based systems.
- Proficiency in creating and troubleshooting PLC logic.
- Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation performance.
