Instrumentation, Electrical Controls Manager
Responsibilities:Plan, supervise and coordinate a team of instrumentation, controls and electrical technologists, engineers, and design drafting staff.Plan and coordinate subcontracted ICE studies, engineering, or design work to support projects.Ensure the completeness and accuracy of work performed by the ICE departments as well outside subcontractors.Resource allocation and planning for the ICE departments in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and planning and scheduling department.Ensure all required ICE design deliverables are provided to other departments in a timely manner to maintain the project flow and scheduleProvide high level engineering guidance to the ICE departments based on accumulated experience with instrumentation, control and electrical systems and devicesActing as a client liaison for the scope of instrumentation, controls and electrical on projects.Participating in Engineering Planning MeetingsSuccessful candidates will have:At least 7 + years in a leadership roleAt least 10 + years of experience in a related industry and scope of work.Technical Diploma or Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalency.ASET or APEGA designationProficient in the design of electrical systems including power, lighting, controls, communications, grounding, fire alarm.Preparing certificates of compliance and CSA certification documentsManaging and reviewing ICE drawings and deliverables for technical accuracy and compliance to project scope.Working knowledge of configuration and development of industry standard Man Machine Interface (MMI) programs.What's in it for you:Salary + benefits Company events, Dental care, Disability insurance, Employee assistance programExtended health careLife insurance
