We are pleased to announce an opening for an Intermediate Model-Based Systems Engineer who will join our Engineering Services Team in Colorado Springs, CO and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control marketspaces. Qualified candidates will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.
Responsibilities:
Qualified candidates will be providing technical expertise in support of the Space Sensors Directorate (MDA/SS). The MDA/SS team is focused on developing, integrating, and delivering new space systems and capabilities to the Missile Defense System, including Space-based Kill Assessment (SKA) and Hypersonic and Ballistic Tracking Space Sensor (HBTSS), among others.
The primary responsibility for this position is to establish and maintain an MBSE environment for all MDA/SS projects.
Duties include:
- Executing MBSE activities as directed by government customer
- Developing MBSE products (designs, block diagrams, etc.) and effectively communicating model content to non-modelers on the team – government civilian and contractor
- Supporting team members with other duties detailed in the Statement of Work as needed
Basic Qualifications:
At a minimum, qualified candidates must have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
- At least 7 years of full-time professional experience in a technical field related to missile defense and/or technical analysis of a complex Department of Defense (DoD) weapon system.
- Must be eligible to obtain or have an active SECRET clearance.
- Must be able to work at our customer site on Shriever Space Force Base near Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Magic Draw, the current MBSE tool of choice in MDA/SS
- Received professional certification in MBSE model development and/or use
- Proficient in configuration and database management
- Background with the Missile Defense Agency and/or other DoD Space Systems
- Works independently and/or leads sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office automation tool proficiency.
