Job Title – Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Location – Stockport
Type – Permanent
Salary – £40,000/yr
My client is a Specialist Sub – Contractor offering custom joinery solutions for residential and commercial projects with a growth spurt over the last 18 months which is starting to consolidate and build further with key clients.
Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Assist and report on and control all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts.

- The individual will need to support the FM low value high volume schemes as well as the larger ‘small works’ projects co-ordinating procurement and cost recovery with the operations teams.
- Regular site visits and liaison with operations teams to ensure all changes and progress are captured and claimed each month.

- Providing commercial expertise for projects to maximise returns by working within robust procedures to support the Project QS.
- Produce and process formal documents, certifying the interim/final payments and final subcontract account.
- Monitor income and expenditure on contracts e.g., interim/final applications for payment / final accounts / payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant people.

- Minimum 3 years post qualified experience.
- Proven background as an Intermediate QS with Sub - Contractor project experience.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Commercial Fit Out project experience.
- Exceptional relationship building skills self-motivated and proactive commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process.
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft packages i.e word, excel, outlook and teams.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and technologies
