The Role

The Inventory Planner will be responsible for refining Little Sleepies inventory planning process, including developing and executing a long-term operational plan, while delivering inventory targets in line with strategy, revenue forecasts, and channel expansion. This role will support the development of demand forecasts by channel as well as manage the overall supply chain and inventory profile. This individual will be an agile, hands-on business partner to the Merchandising, Product Development, Operations, Marketing and Finance teams, and report directly to the Director of Demand Planning.

What youll do:

  • Ensure alignment on company sales, demand forecasting, demand/supply reconciliation, and inventory management for both DTC and Amazon channels.
  • Manage monthly demand forecasting activities by collaborating with Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, and Product Development teams to build accurate forecasts and supply plans.
  • Utilize statistical models to forecast core carryover products and support new product forecasts using market trend data.
  • Assist in developing bottoms-up demand and inventory plans to meet throughput, financial, and operational targets.
  • Manage replenishment model, Signature product inventory profile, and in-stock rates..
  • Monitor forecast accuracy against projections, analyze demand and supply trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize future forecasts.
  • Track key metrics including weeks of supply, in-stock rates, and excess inventory by channel.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to proactively identify risks and opportunities for improving working capital efficiency.
  • Contribute to developing a product category inventory strategy by channel in line with the open-to-buy budget.
  • Identify, prioritize, and support continuous improvement projects including the development of an excess inventory liquidation strategy.

What youll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related desirable field.
  • 4+ years of DTC/omni-channel merchandise-related, demand planning, experience. Experience in apparel .
  • Previous Amazon experience .
  • Proven experience in operational transformation of demand planning.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent judgment, maturity, and decision-making skills with integrity.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
  • Experience in Netsuite and demand planning software is highly desirable.
  • Able to come into our HQ in Los Angeles, CA on a weekly hybrid schedule a minimum of 3 days per week.
