ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Deliver and setup computer hardware. This includes moving of computers, monitors, scanners, printers, and other related hardware from the setup or storage area to the associate’s work area.
• Disassembling old computer hardware in the associate’s area and setting up the new computer hardware. New computer hardware that is a PC requires the Installation of printer queues and printer drivers after setup. Also, the PC setup requires logging the associate in and giving a brief explanation on how the new computer works. Old computer hardware is completely removed from the associate’s area for either disposal or storage.
• Responsible for the pick-up of miscellaneous personal computer hardware for disposal. This includes moving the disposal computer hardware to the Buildings and Grounds Department for salvage.
• Assist end users with setting up printers and troubleshooting printer issues.
• Assist with cable and line drops.
• Print and maintain barcodes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or two-year degree in related area required.
• 1-2 years previous experience , however, candidates with less experience may be considered if the candidate possesses strong knowledge of computer hardware.
• Experience with Microsoft Office is essential.
• Telephone etiquette and the ability to interface with users and staff is required.
• Must able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be comfortable working at tall heights, in a lift, several feet in the air.
• Must be available to work rotating on-call schedule for after-hours issues.
