We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Procurement Specialist to join our growing team at ICSI, a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP). In this role, you will play a key part in sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring IT hardware, software, and services for our clients. You will work closely with internal teams, including engineers, account managers, and sales representatives, to ensure we deliver cost-effective and timely solutions that meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers of IT hardware, software, and services.
- Product Sourcing: Research and source IT products and services based on client requirements and specifications.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms for our clients.
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Manage Shipments: Oversee the shipment and receipt of all IT equipment.
- Inventory Control: Organize inventory for easy retrieval, maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, and document any damages.
- Logistics Coordination: Schedule large shipments, plan logistics to ensure sufficient storage space, and coordinate with logistics technicians and service providers.
- Warehouse Management: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
- Inventory Management: Track inventory levels and ensure timely restocking of IT equipment.
- Procurement Process Management: Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order and delivery.
- Spend Tracking: Track and monitor procurement spend and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
- IT Solutions Support: Support the implementation of new IT solutions and ensure timely delivery.
- Industry Awareness: Stay informed of the latest trends and technologies in the IT procurement landscape.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven work experience as a procurement specialist or in a similar role, with experience in IT procurement and shipping/receiving.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple projects and ensure accuracy in all procurement and shipping/receiving activities.
