IT Project Manager.
As an experienced IT Project Manager, you will need to engage, negotiate, and influence people across our business units to proactively set expectations and ensure delivery of multiple IT projects and programmes.
As part of the Corporate IT Department, you will deliver a diverse portfolio of project programmes across all of Rokes business units.
As a function within the Corporate IT department, the IT Project team are central within our service culture and actively contribute to the IT dept's continuous improvement initiatives; managing and leading complex stakeholder requirements towards solutions while helping them understand resource constraints and prioritisation conflicts where necessary.

A typical day for you could look like this:
* Managing the Corporate IT project programme deliverables, including risk ownership, resource management and cost projection
* Supporting and working alongside Business Unit Project teams to ensure consistent and smooth service delivery for project requirements
* Leading the project team to ensure new requirements, ongoing workload, longer term projects and overarching programmes progress as required
* Report on project and programme progress aligned to the required milestones and agreed deliverables for the customer/s
* Ensuring schedules, interfaces, cost, risk, and changes are managed appropriately.
* Reporting effective remedial actions to drive best value for Roke and its customers

The Key Requirements...
* Proven IT Project Management, exposure to the Defence or Security sectors would be an advantage.
* Proven technical delivery of medium or large-scale IT infrastructure projects
* Proven Stakeholder and Customer relationship engagement, through both scoping and delivery phases
* Willingness to mentor other members of the team to champion consistent service delivery through the Corporate IT departments.

While there are no line management responsibilities, the Project Lead will be required to day-to-day task and or guide the other project members of staff as required. The expectation to positively influence and engage with other colleagues and peers within Corporate IT is a given.
Where you'll work...
The Romsey office is our location but will consider candidates to be based at our offices in Woking or Gloucester. The IT Project Manager will require minimum attendance on site 3 days per week. Travel to other Roke sites maybe occasionally required.
ROMSEY - Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you'll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.
WOKING - Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you'll find our Woking site in a modern building on the outskirts of London. Rated excellent for sustainability by BREEAM & Fitwel certified - you'll feel better for visiting. This site provides key links to our customers in London, is a 5 minute walk from the train station, has secure parking nearby and dedicated cycle storage.
GLOUCESTER - Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you'll find our Gloucester site in a business park two minutes from junction 11A of the M5; The site allows easy access to our local customer base. Set on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, you are never far from a picturesque view or lunch time walk.
