The Sr. Project Manager position will be responsible for managing the deployment of multiple classified networks across multiple client campuses. This role will also be responsible for the management of and coordination internal and external stakeholders and partners to ensure business requirements have met by the appropriate design and solution(s)

It will require holding stakeholders and project team members accountable for timely deliverables in order to keep the project schedule on track. As part of the PMO team, utilizes and develops established project standards and procedures based on Project Management Institute best practices, with an eye to continuous improvements. Performs other project management tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Project Management  Takes the lead in developing and maintaining the project/program management plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules. Coordinates with IT and IA managers, technical leads, and key project stakeholders in this effort.

Risk Management: Identifies risks to project, creating action plan for risk mitigation. Analyzes, prioritizes and consolidates this risk and assesses its potential impact to the client. 

Communications: Prepares and provides effective communication of current status to the Executive Leadership team and extended project team. Communicates with end users and additional stakeholders as needed. Generates meeting minutes and follows-up on action items through completion. 

Relationship management: Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with business owners, projects and key clients. Ensures end user testing is conducted and documented

Conducts formal review with business sponsor at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.  Project Monitoring: Monitors project(s), identifying resource needs, performing quality reviews and escalating scope, budget, quality, and timeline issues appropriately, reporting into management as needed.

Budget: Monitors the actual costs of a project/program against the budget.  As part of the PMO team, utilizes and develops established project standards and procedures, including templates, processes, workflows, and tools. Standards are based on Project Management Institute practices. Human Resource Management  Assists in determining staffing requirements and forms project teams, initiating and reporting on regular status meetings.  Assist in identifies the roles, skills and knowledge required for successful project execution.  Ensures staff has the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information System, Business Administration or equivalent work experience. 

Requires a minimum of 7+ years of IT or Security-focused project management 

Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is desired. 

Experience in managing large Information Technology projects spanning multiple technical disciplines, as well as an understanding of IT terminology and networking

Knowledge of SCI and SAP accreditation, experience working with a Government Contractor and/or experience working in a highly secure environment and industry standards is desirable

Ability to take initiative, work independently, and meet strict deadlines. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate constructive conversations between technical staff members.   

Familiarity with NIST, NISP, DFARS, and other DoD compliance documents and standards. Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite, including Project and Teams.
