We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex Records and Information Management (RIM) projects, serving as the primary contact for the government client. This position requires a deep understanding of record-keeping practices, compliance with internal policies and Archives and Records Administration (NARA) guidelines, and the ability to manage RIM solutions.
Must Have Skills:
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of experience in project management.
- Should have experience working with Federal agencies.
Nice to Have:
- Records Management experience desired.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the performance of both prime and subcontractor resources, ensuring they meet contract requirements and performance standards.
- Ensure all deliverables and work products are completed and delivered according to established due dates.
- Maintain a team of qualified and capable resources to meet project requirements effectively.
- Ensure all contractor staff adhere to guidelines and standards.
- Lead and manage the execution of complex RIM projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Oversee the implementation of technical solutions related to RIM, including software installation, configuration, and documentation preparation.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of record-keeping practices, including organization, handling, storage, retrieval, and destruction of records in compliance with internal policies and NARA guidelines.
- Review, synthesize, and prepare highly technical, sensitive, and complex documents, including briefing materials, management directives, and correspondence.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource management, and ensure successful project execution.
- Actively participate in meetings with government stakeholders, reporting on task status and progress as outlined in the PWS.
- Provide effective management, direction, administration, and leadership to ensure successful execution of contract services.
- Accurately transcribe, create, update, and distribute meeting minutes as per the delivery schedule.
- Assist the COR with annual staff training, identify and report potential risks or issues to the COR and other PMs, and inform about situations that could impact contractor performance or cause schedule delays, including dependencies on external information.
Knowledge:
- Familiarity with OPM, Treasury, and IRS guidelines and standards.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles and practices.
- Experience in managing risks and issues in a project environment.
Education: Bachelors degree is a must, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Certification: Must have a PMP certification
Travel: This position may require occasional travel, flexible hours, and a collaborative team environment.
