These projects may encompass diverse perspectives, including cost-out initiatives focused on optimizing the bottom line through actions such as material usage reduction or enhancement.Simultaneously, you will contribute to new product development projects with the aim of boosting the top line.More specifically, you will:Be involved from the initial ideation phase to the successful launch of productsDevelop best-in-class products at right quality and costFocus on enhancing the quality, cost, and sustainability of our current product offerings through systematic optimization effortsUtilize Solid Works and Creo for concept creation and design, leveraging these advanced tools to bring innovative ideas to lifeWork in cross-functional project teams in close collaboration with other Development and Optimize functions. You will also work with supply chain colleagues securing optimal implementation.Within our team in our Development and Optimization Department, we enjoy an environment of continuous improvement and personal development, guided by a shared commitment to excellence.Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, as we work closely across departments to identify opportunities and address challenges with ingenuity and precision.Empowerment is ingrained in our culture, as we encourage each member to take ownership of their projects and contribute their unique skills to our collective success.You will be based in our Østbirk office and some travel can be expected.Key responsibilitiesAs an Advanced Development Engineer, you will develop the continuous improvement projects for our existing project portfolio as well as contribute to the design process and development of complex engineering solutions, ensuring they align with project goals.Other key tasks:Identify and address technical challenges, employing creative problem-solving skills to optimize product performanceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate requirements and develop solutions aligned with business needsStay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to promote continuous improvement and innovationWho we are looking forThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Design or similar field combined with a minimum of 4 years of experience in product development roles, with a proven history of effectively bringing new products to market and implementing cost reduction initiatives.You have experience in conducting structural analysis to ensure our windows meet safety and performance standards and you are capable of hands-on work in the workshop for assembling prototypes.You have expertise in selecting and evaluating materials, considering factors such as physical characteristics, thermal performance or mechanical properties.You have proficiency in using CAD software for designing and modelling such as Solid Works, PDM, Creo, Windchill PLM and other relevant tools and you utilize simulation as an integral part of the working process.You have technical knowledge in electricity and automation systems, competence in Tolerance Analysis and recognizes and understand the advantages of Modularization. You are also familiar with Six Theta principles.Furthermore, you have knowledge of design for manufacturing, ensuring that designs are optimized for efficient production.As an individual, you thrive under tight deadlines and excel at handling multiple tasks efficiently. Your pragmatic and positive nature, coupled with a structured problem-solving approach, truly sets you apart.Motivated by an enthusiasm for continuous improvement, you constantly set and surpass new goals.
