Journeyman Electrician
Stable, growth oriented Electrical Contractor is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician (Licensed in Indiana or reciprocal state). The ideal candidate will have experience working on anything from industrial, to residential, and commercial. The growth in our company has developed the need for a licensed (Journeyman) Electrician that can bring their Two to Eight (2 to 8) years of electrical experience and contribute to the continued growth. We are seeking an individual that can bend conduit, pull cable/wire, troubleshoot circuits, light fixtures, circuit breakers and more to ensure they are in safe operating condition. You’ll also use excellent communication skills to ensure the highest standards of safety and recommend necessary changes to keep projects within local code and standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring system
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, test electrical components and continuity of circuits to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the issue
· Installation/repair/maintenance of circuit breakers, transformers, generators, and security systems
· Install MC cable, panels, conduit feeders, branch circuits, devices, lighting, and fixtures
· Responsible for understanding and reading blueprints, plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements
· Able to organize work, run teams and safely manage projects from start to finish
· Continually updating knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Essential Qualifications:
· Indiana Journeyman licensed / card is or Equivalent experience
· Two -Eight (2 to 8) years of experience in an electrician position
· Self-motivated capable of working independently and with a team
· Must have strong written and communication skills
· Positive attitude and professional customer service
· Able and willing to work in all aspects of the electrical industry residential and service work
· Basic Math Skills
· Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
· Clean driving record
· Able to bend small and large conduit, troubleshoot circuits, pull cable, rough in, service transformers
· Working with and being exposed to 240 volts
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve complex control systems and fix the problems
· A detailed and strong work ethic
· Must possess a strong attention to detail
· Able to take and give instruction and act on them
· Knowledge of safety procedures
- Knowledge of and experience with Electric Code and any relevant local codes
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
