Position Overview:
We are seeking Journeyman Electricians to join our growing team in Austin, TX. Our electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.
As a Journeyman you will:
- Execute electrical wiring plans for lighting, intercom, and other systems
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and alarm systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g., switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility
- Assemble and install conduits, then connect wiring through them
- Perform preventative maintenance by inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables
- Diagnose electrical hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units
Requirements
- 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Tenant Improvement experience (Class A)
- Ability to complete projects from start to finish independently
- Experience with lighting control systems
- Proficiency in conduit installation, wiring, panel systems, and troubleshooting
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- TDLR Journeyman Electrician License
- Willingness to pass a drug screening

Working Environment & Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods and climbing ladders/scaffolds
- Working in loud environments alongside other trades
- Exposure to dust, dirt, heat, and wet conditions
- Lifting and carrying materials up to 75 lbs.
- Travel (20-30%) may be required per project needs
- Overtime and extended hours may be necessary to meet deadlines
- Aerial lift operation proficiency required
