Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial properties. You will need to be able to lead projects, ensuring they are completed safely and efficiently. Additionally, you will assist and train up to three apprentices, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their skills and knowledge. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting electrical systems and ensuring compliance with all codes and regulations.
Compensation: $40-$48 per hour, depending on experience
Work Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm, some overtime possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial properties.
- Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications for electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Ensure work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors on-site to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Safely operate electrical tools and equipment, following all safety protocols.
- Document work performed and report progress to supervisors or project managers.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.
Qualifications:
- Journeyman Electrician certification required.
- 5+ years of experience ( but not required) as a Journeyman Electrician, preferably in a commercial setting
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- OSHA 10 Hour Construction Certificate or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Must have own hand tools.
