About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Current Edge Solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale electrical projects within commercial, industrial, and utility sectors. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring adherence to electrical codes and safety regulations. You will also provide leadership and mentorship to apprentices and other team members.
Responsibilities:
- Electrical Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain electrical wiring, lighting, circuits, panels, and systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose electrical issues and implement efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work adheres to NEC ( Electrical Code), local building codes, and safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor apprentices and electricians on job sites to ensure safe, effective work practices.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades to meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for project closeouts.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and help maintain a safe work environment for the entire crew.
- Travel: Be prepared for up to 25% or more travel time on certain projects.
Requirements:
- Certification: Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician license.
- Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, including work on commercial and industrial electrical projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals; strong understanding of electrical codes, testing equipment, and installation methods.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and high-altitude locations, and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Certifications: NEC, OSHA, and 70E certifications (required).

Position Details:
- Location: Savannah, GA
- Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel
- Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Physical Requirements:
- The role combines office work (desk, computer, and phone) and occasional fieldwork.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Site visits may require navigating diverse spaces and terrains, sometimes with heavy equipment.
- Adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements as per safety policies (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
