Junior Field Engineer Contaminated Sites Management (Entry Level)

Responsibilities:Field Investigations: Conduct site visits and fieldwork in Flanders and the Netherlands to assess and investigate potentially contaminated land.Sampling and Analysis: Collect soil, water, and air samples for laboratory analysis. Assist in interpreting results to identify contamination sources.Data Collection and Field Registration: Record and document field observations, measurements, and other relevant data. Maintain accurate and detailed field notes, offering valuable input for comprehensive reports.Laboratory Orders: Prepare laboratory orders and ensure the timely and accurate submission of samples for analysis.Collaboration: Work closely with senior fieldworkers, environmental scientists, and project managers to execute investigations effectively.Autonomy and Initiative: Demonstrate a degree of autonomy in fieldwork, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting and implementing ways to enhance processes.Health & Safety Commitment: Demonstrate a strong commitment to health and safety by following established protocols and promoting a safe working environment.Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and project timelines.Legislation and Accreditation: Learn and stay informed about local procedures and legislation related to contaminated land investigations.
