Junior Health & Safety Officer

Overview Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Junior Health & Safety Officer to join an IT company based in Roodepoort, Gauteng.As a Junior Health & Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing effective safety management systems in the company. You will work closely with the Risk and Safety Officer to identify and mitigate risks, conduct inspections, and provide support in maintaining a safe working environment.Responsibilities: Assist with the implementation of health and safety systems across all sitesPerform inspections and spot checks of fire fighting and detection equipmentSupport the development and implementation of health and safety management systemsIdentify and evaluate risks and develop safe work proceduresRecord and investigate accidents, provide guidance, and ensure proper reportingProvide feedback in safety meetings and follow up on health and safety inspectionsConduct audits and inspections on contractorsProvide informal health and safety training to employeesEnsure compliance with health and safety statutory requirementsResponsible for site induction programs for employees, contractors, and visitors Requirements: Relevant qualification in health and safety (advantageous)Minimum 3 years of general health and safety experienceExperience in an FMCG environment (recommended)Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)Good knowledge of health and safety regulationsExcellent communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines Benefits: Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
