Junior Mechanical Estimator

Job DescriptionOur client is an Irish based Mechanical & Process Engineering company with its office manufacturing facility in Ballina Co Mayo. They operate as a full service solutions provider to the Pharmaceutical, Bio Pharmaceutical & Brewing Industries in Ireland.This is a great opportunity to work along side senior management and develop a career in mechanical estimating on life science projectsTo provide effective commercial and contractual support to operations on a number of pharma/biotech projects in accordance with procedures.To prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.To ensure timely submission and agreement of applications, cost plans, variation details, claims and other documentation.To liaise with clients from initial enquiries through to final accounts on the production and agreement of account details and securing final payment without undue penalty.Liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors and internal team members pricing variations.Closely monitor and process project variations.Issuing tender queries and preparation of tender reports.Monitor project costs against budgets, identify problems/opportunities and recommend /implement change where necessary.Involved in full tender process from beginning to completionLiaising with relevant parties on an on-going basisRequirements1+ Years industry-relevant experience.A relevant third level degree and/or a mechanical trade backgroundStrong attention to detail and the ability to work well with management directionExcellent communication and time management skillsPackage€35K-€45K dependant on relevant experience and qualificationsPermanent staff role with great career opportunities where you will be a valued team member.
