Junior Process Lab Technician

We are looking for a Junior Process Lab Technician for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Trek kopje Namibia

Duration: 6 months from February 17th, 2025 (to be confirmed). Possibility to be extended.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Grade 12, Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Skills: Basic understanding of laboratory procedures, attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving samples.
• Driver's License: Code B.
• Language: English proficiency
• Equipment Operation: Mandatory compliance training done with less than 2 years or available for re-certification for forklift and bobcat.

Activities

• This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.
• Sample Handling: Receive, label, prepare and do sample testing.
• Testing and Analysis: Conduct routine tests and assist with more complex analyses.
• Data Recording: Accurately record test results and maintain detailed logs.
• Equipment Maintenance: Clean, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support: Assist senior technician with various tasks and projects as needed and report any deviations.
