JOB- Junior Production Engineer

LOCATION- Aylesford

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £28,000 to £35,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is seeking a Junior Production Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company in Aylesford. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in production processes, ERP/MRP systems, and process improvement within a fast-paced environment.

The Junior Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience or knowledge of ERP/MRP systems for production planning and inventory management
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, machining, and fabrication techniques
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• A proactive approach with a keen interest in process improvement and lean manufacturing
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Good communication skills and attention to detail
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment

The Junior Production Engineer role will involve:

• Assisting in the implementation and optimization of ERP/MRP systems for production planning
• Supporting the engineering team in improving manufacturing processes and workflows
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and manufacturing instructions
• Identifying areas for cost reduction, waste minimization, and efficiency improvements
• Assisting with new product introduction into the production process
• Collaborating with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues
• Ensuring compliance with industry and company quality standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects
