Position Overview
We are currently seeking an energetic Junior Project Engineer. The ideal candidate should:

As a crucial part of our team, you will engage with a variety of energy upgrade projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 million, overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion.
Your responsibilities will encompass client meetings and collaborating with the engineering team to identify and design high-value energy efficiency measures, while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Projects will focus on lighting, HVAC, controls, and building envelope improvements.
Much of our work is in the San Francisco Bay area. Travel needs will range from 30%-50%.

Your primary goals as a Junior Project Engineer will be to assist the team in delivering projects:

Additional duties will include:
Engineering Support
Visiting commercial buildings to document existing conditions
Collaborating with the engineering team to:
Identify optimal energy upgrades based on client objectives
Prepare documents for bidding
Recommend energy efficiency technologies
Conducting bid analysis for subcontracted scopes
Preparing proposals with detailed cost estimates, scope of work, and value propositions
Project Management Assistance
Planning and scheduling project work
Generating contracts
Tracking and reporting onsite progress
Recognizing, documenting, and communicating any scope and cost changes
Collaborating with subcontractors to implement energy upgrades
Working with the in-house engineering team to adapt to field conditions and ensure energy-saving targets are met or exceeded, acting as a bridge between engineering and customer support
Ensuring the financial health of the project
Communicating clearly and effectively with both team members and clients
Managing project completion
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field
Prior work experience
A strong desire to eliminate energy waste in buildings and plants
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to be self-directed and manage multiple projects with good prioritization
Capability to work collaboratively under pressure to meet deadlines
Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
A commitment to providing friendly and superior service
Clean DMV record
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project
Willingness to travel nationwide
Bonus Qualifications:
Engineering background
Experience with Retro-commissioning (RCx) or RCx implementation
Knowledge of control programming
Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures and standards
Networking knowledge
