Lab Engineering Maintenance Technician - Contract

Headquartered in London, this contract position is based on site. Please note that it is a short-term contract.



Responsibilities:



Manage inventory of hardware components, equipment, products, and other supplies

Select and procure new equipment, spare parts, and supplies

Maintain supplies of hardware components, equipment, etc. to the company's expectations and highlight all potential shortages and proactively work to ensure minimal interruption to operations.

Facilitate organisation of lab spaces to ensure optimal layout, cleanliness, and care for all company's hardware, equipment, and components in line with the company's procedures and policies.



Deploy and manage compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the equipment and the lab

Maintain lab equipment (e.g., air compressors, water filters) as necessary to ensure consistent operations of the lab with minimal to no disruptions.

Provide safety oversight for equipment and act as subject matter expert on safe operations of the hardware and equipment.

Train researchers, engineers, and other staff on equipment usage, lab

Execute new equipment and workcell designs, schedule and optimise the use of all associated hardware and equipment as well as ensure no conflicts for use of equipment take place.

Schedule all experiments and bug triage



Conduct experiments (hardware, software, system integration) in the lab



Contractor will assist in the setup, execution, teardown, and documentation around testing as required.
