Lab Inventory and Facilities Coordinator
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionYoh is hiring a Laboratory Inventory/Facilities Coordinator for our South San Francisco, CA client. In this role you will support our expanding inventory and facilities needs as our researchers develop CRISPR-based technologies and products. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Lab Operations. Responsibilities include consumable stocking, lab waste management, and lab gas inventory maintenance. The person in this role must have a service-based mentality and a proclivity towards action and flexibility as daily activities could be varied.

Compensation: $23-$25/hour (based upon experience)
Type: 6 month contract
Job Functions ? Maintain all in-lab consumable stocking daily
- Receive new consumable items and add to inventory racks
- Manage regular waste from labs
- Maintain lab gas and dry ice inventory, meet vendor for deliveries
- Move lab equipment as needed
- Ability to do general lab repairs and handyman work: make CO2 and vacuum connections, operate hand tools to anchor items, install wall shelving
- Perform freezer defrosts
- Test safety shower and eyewash stations
- Respond to lab operations’ service tickets
Education or Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday, within the hours of 8am - 6pm
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Experience working in a lab environment
- Consumable stocking and inventory experience
- Experience with Coupa procurement platform
- Work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong desire to learn and develop the skills and experience necessary to meet the rapid growth in needs as the company grows
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent service and results
