Laboratory Facility coordinator for the Research Department, fluent in English and German
The Opportunity:We are looking for a Laboratory Facility coordinator to join our Laboratory Operations group at the CSL Biologics Research Center (CBRC), located at the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine (sitem-insel) in Bern, Switzerland. At sitem-insel, the CBRC research group enjoys state-of-the-art lab and office facilities. We are embedded in a collaborative environment with other private and academic innovative research teams on the campus of the University Hospital.As a Laboratory Facility Coordinator, you will support the CBRC in facility support, equipment management, procurement support, logistics and safety. You will work in close collaboration with our internal teams and external partners to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our state-of-the-art lab and office facilities.Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Facility support (30%): Coordinate internal mail and parcel services, logistic requests, technical services, liquid nitrogen supply, waste management, and lab clothes cleaning. Actively participate in our bi-weekly LabOps meeting.Equipment Management (40%): Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs, order management, and master data management in SAP for CBRC lab equipment. Close collaboration with the equipment responsible person, the SAP team, the CSL Engineering team and third-party companies.Procurement support (20%): Manage inventory of laboratory material, order commonly used lab consumables and refill stocks. Order maintenance contracts and repair orders for Research lab instruments in Ariba.Safety support (10%): Monitor laboratory alarms, provide and monitor safety equipment/gear, provide training on LabOps-owned devices, and collect and report accidents and safety issues. Close collaboration with the CBRC safety officer, sitem-insel and third-party companies.Qualifications & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical education5+ years' experience in laboratory operations /facility management.Proficient in the use of various IT tools such as SAP and Microsoft Office.Comfortable with the Digital toolsAbility to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of the team.Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving capabilities.Excellent communication and organizational skills (German and English language).Our BenefitsWe encourage you to make your well-being a priority.
